Today, Concarneau is the fourth French fishing port as well by the number of sailors and ships as by the tonnage and the value of the unloaded captures. Concarneau is also a very famous port for its shipbuilding. Many trawlers, tuna boats, and ship of all kinds were build in Concarneau. The sea belongs to the inheritance and its traditions. Concarneau is very happy about its nickname of “the blue city”
